Updated Working With Children Policy

The Programs and Activities Committee have approved the updated LSC&PH Working With Children Policy. This policy, available on the Web site, contains information every staff member should know prior to participating in programs.

If you already have a WWC card, you’re almost there, but the policy does have some changes that pertain to you. Please ensure that you are compliant with the updated policy as some key requirements have been updated.

These include:

 - In addition to having the card, the office MUST have a letter on file from the Department of Justice (DOJ), letting us know that LSC&PH is a nominated organisation. This can be done with a short phone call to the DOJ (1 300 652 879) - you MUST ensure that your contact details are up to date with the DOJ (again, ring 1 300 652 879 to confirm)- you must ensure you renew your card prior to expiry- if you are over 18 years you must hold a valid a WWC card (regardless of where in Australia you reside)

To view the policy please click here.
